The French Language Services Act requires an assessment of oral and written French language skills by an accredited language testing service to determine the level of competence of employees to provide services in French.

Informal candidate assessment

Nipissing  Language Training Centre – train the trainer 

This course will provide techniques to informally assess a candidate’s ability to speak and understand French language and to determine their oral performance level in French. The course is designed to train participants in becoming an evaluator and to administer the test.  The training session can be offered online, or in a classroom setting.
