Sudbury, June 7, 2017 – The Réseau du mieux-être francophone du Nord de l’Ontario (Réseau) held its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 5, 2017 in Sudbury and in seven communities throughout its territory via OTN (Ontario Telemedicine Network).

This year, the Réseau is proud to announce the name of the recipients of the first recognition awards. These awards were created to acknowledge the contribution of health service providers, community organizations and individuals towards improving access and equity of French language health services. Effective this year, the recognition awards will be presented every year to a health service provider, community organization or individual who excels in the promotion of French language services.

The recognition award for a health service provider is awarded to a health service provider that has made considerable efforts to improve access and equity of French language health services. This award was presented to the Centre régional de la santé de Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

The community recognition award is presented to a community organization or individual that is engaged and collaborates with the Réseau in improving access and equity of French language health services. The recipient of this award was Hélène Miller, from the community of Kirkland Lake.

The Réseau would like to congratulate the two winners.
